Cutting the cooling load at the wall
A corporate occupier in Airport City asked a direct question: could the facade itself reduce the air-conditioning bill? Facade Ghana mapped the sun path on each elevation, specified solar-control glass by SHGC where the exposure demanded it, and detailed external shading on the worst-hit western face.
The result is an envelope that manages heat before the chillers see it. The specification file records exactly which glass make-up went on which elevation — so the facilities team can hold the envelope to the performance it was bought for.
