Facade Ghana has practised a single discipline since 1982: the engineered building envelope. The firm’s working history now runs past its fourth decade of curtain walls, structural glazing and ventilated rainscreens on Accra’s commercial skyline, with commissions in Tema and Kumasi wherever the same envelope standard is demanded.
Who commissions us
The commissions that shaped this firm come from clients whose requirements are written down before they are priced: financial institutions specifying a headquarters elevation, corporate and institutional facilities managing an envelope across a thirty-year horizon, and diplomatic missions whose standards do not move for anyone. In this class of work, discretion is part of the service — the buildings speak for themselves, and we do not name their owners in public.
Specification grade is the standard
A Facade Ghana elevation is signed for by one named engineer, who owns it from the first survey to the warranty. Substrate engineering, material specification per the applicable standard, staged quality control, performance testing to ASTM and AAMA methods, and written acceptance before the access equipment comes down — that is the method, on every elevation, every time.
The long arc
Wind-load methods, glazing specifications and testing regimes have all tightened since the firm’s earliest stick-built elevations went up in the 1980s. What has not changed is what Facade Ghana signs for: an envelope specified to perform, verified by testing, documented in writing, and standing in Accra’s sun and rain for decades.
